Scattered thunderstorms also are possible Friday afternoon and into the evening and those could result in downed wires and electric service interruptions. Utility companies urge members of the public to stay away from any wires that are downed during storms. To report downed wires:

  • Call your local police department at 911;
  • Call O&R at 1-877-434-4100 or text “OUT” to 69678 (myORU);
  • Call PSE&G at 1-800-436-PSEG (7734) or text OUT to 4PSEG (47734).

 

Midsummer Night’s Jam

Haworth’s beloved summer tradition returns this weekend!  Featuring talented Haworth musicians performing everything from Classical to Broadway to World music to Rock n Roll. Bring a chair or blanket and settle down for a great night!

Haworth Memorial Field   6pm-10pm

Suggested Admission $5/person

As is done every year by request, the County does a spraying on Memorial Field to mitigate the nuisance of mosquitos on the evening of the event. This is usually done the day before and dries within an hour. The Mosquito Control products that are used are: Duet, Zenivex, and Fyfanan. For more details on the products use, please contact Borough Hall.

 

Cell Tower work

There is cell tower work that is being done on Stevens Place at the entrance path to Borough Hall and the Library. This work is estimated to last another 2 weeks. There will be an extra-large crane for the safety of their workers for two days next week.

The area is cordoned off so please be mindful when walking in the area. Additionally, please leave the first 4 available parking spots in the front to allow for the elderly, handicap and people with disabilities to park safely.
