Haworth Mayor and Council
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Haworth deem it necessary and in the best interest of the borough to hold an additional meeting on Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at 7:30 PM due to pending matters that are time sensitive.
Haworth Police
As we continue through the summer months, motorists should take special precautions to watch for pedestrians. Cars share the roads with walkers, runners, bikers and others enjoying the outdoors. Keep your driving free from distraction: texting, talking, using a map - basically anything other than driving - is dangerous because it takes your attention away from the road.
As we approach the beginning of school, we ask all drivers to become even more diligent in their habits. Be sure to manage your time well - hurrying results in decisions that can be dangerous. Give yourself the time you need to get to your destination safely. Stop signs are there for a reason and require a complete stop. Rolling through a stop sign is not stopping and you will be subject to a summons, points on your license, and a fine.
Haworth DPW
BRANCH CHIPPING will continue until the week of September 25th:

Any branches over 3 feet in length and 2 inches in diameter may be put at the curb for DPW workers to chip.
Grass and yard debris pick-up continues every Monday through October 30th. Residents should put all debris in open containers CURBSIDE for Monday grass and yard debris pick up. Place at curbside in re-usable containers only. Containers to be maximum 30 gallons.
