Heat Wave Advisory:

Temperatures are expected to top 100 degrees for the remainder of the week.

The Haworth Municipal Library will serve as a cooling center during the following hours:

Wednesday: 10 am-9:00 pm

Thursday: 10 am-5:00 pm

Friday: 10 am-2:00 pm 

Saturday: closed for July 4th holiday

Cool off at the Haworth Swim Club with the following Heat Wave special:

•         Free for Haworth seniors 11:00am - 7:00pm on Thursday and Friday;

•         Free for Haworth residents from 1:00pm to 5:00pm on Thursday and Friday.

General Tips to Stay Safe in the Heat:

•         Stay hydrated; limit alcohol and caffeine

•         Avoid overexertion, especially between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.

•         Never leave children or pets in enclosed vehicles

•         Know the signs of heat exhaustion and act quickly

•         Wear light, loose-fitting clothing and avoid dark colors

Please note: Haworth Borough Hall will be closed for the 4th of July holiday: Thursday, July 2, and Friday, July 3.

Haworth Swim Club

 Movie night is back! Tonight, Wednesday, 07/01, from 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm, we will be showing Moana at the swim club! Free entry for all, members and non-members alike, so stop by with friends and family. A big thank you to the Shadek Family for sponsoring the event!

 

 The pools will be closed during this time, so no swimming but pull up a chair in the grass between the front and pools, or bring a blanket for some cozy movie-night vibes! Snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.

Haworth Recreation Commission

Haworth Recreation Commission is excited to support the Center for Food Action with our annual Food Drive. Summer is a time of food insecurity for families when school is out and we encourage all to come together as a community to make a positive impact on the lives of those facing this hardship.

Collections dates: Monday, July 6 - Friday, July 17

PLEASE NOTE: New E-Bike Usage Requirements

Age and License
To operate an e-bike, you must be at least 15 years old and have (1) an e-bike license or (2) a valid driver’s license.

Registration & Insurance

E-bikes must be registered with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission. Only motorized bicycles are required to have insurance coverage. Low-Speed Electric Bicycles do not require insurance but must be registered with MVC.
