Haworth Mayor and Council will meet on Tuesday, March 10, 7:30 pm, for their monthly Executive Meeting. Agenda will be posted on the website.

Haworth DPW

The regularly scheduled Monday branch pickup by the DPW has been postponed due to snow accumulation. With warmer weather approaching, we hope to begin the program within the coming weeks.

Reminder: Branches under 3 feet in length and 2 inches in diameter are considered yard debris and should be placed in an open container or yard waste (paper) bags at the curb for pickup by the garbage contractor on Mondays.

Other materials considered yard debris include grass clippings, leaves, bamboo, firewood/small logs, and root balls.

Yard debris collection will run from April 6 through October 26.

Thank you!

Library Art Show

The Haworth Library's upcoming show, Extremes, runs from March 5 to April 13 with a reception on Saturday, March 7 from 11:30 to 1:30.

Extremes is a solo show of abstract paintings and portraits by Susan Kasson Sloan. Abstract painting is expressive and freeing because it isn't bound by realism or rules. Portraits, conversely require precise attention to detail, down to the millimeter. They require small paint brushes and canvases rather than large and a different kind of focus and concentration. Thus, the title.
