Hello Haworth,

Happy 2024!

As we move into February, enormous thanks to our tireless DPW, who worked around the clock during our recent storms to salt, plow, clear downed branches and trees, clear power lines and generally keep us safe and functional during weeks of rain, snow and wind.

The Mayor & Council held their Reorganization meeting the. 2nd week of January. Congratulations and thank you to the newly sworn-in Councilmembers Siciliano & Rodino. Thank you to our seasoned and first-time volunteers who fill essential positions on our commissions and committees; their appointments were made official at the Reorg as well.

Congratulations also to the Haworth Fire Department which held a warm and convivial reorganization luncheon, where the 2024 line officers were sworn in. Next up for Installation ceremony—the Haworth Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

The year is off to a busy and productive start! Please make sure to check the Borough website at https://www.haworthnj.org to stay up to date and informed on the goings-on in Haworth and subscribe to our townwide emails here.

Lakeshore Drive Update

Barring an unforeseen hindrance, the Bergen Counties Utilities Authority (BCUA) work on Lakeshore is nearing completion.

We again thank the residents for your patience with this disruption. It took longer than we were told it would, and we understand the inconvenience it caused for you.

We also thank the Haworth Police for their agility in constant schedule changes and subsequent traffic rerouting and road closures.
