Frank Osmers, Jr.
Frank Osmers, Jr. (1907-1977) One of the “Osmers” of “Osmers Way” on the east side of town. Became a borough councilman at age 22, Haworth mayor and state legislator (both positions) at age 27, and served as Republican Congressman for the 9th Congressional district, 1939-1943 and 1951-1965 (leaving Congress to serve in the Pacific during World War II). His father, Frank Osmers Sr., was also a Haworth mayor.
