Railroad Crossing Closure

Please be advised that CSX Railroad will be repairing the rail crossing on Haworth Avenue beginning on or about Monday, October 15, 2007. The crossing will be closed for approximately 3-5 days.

Please make alternate travel plans.

The rail crossing on Durie Avenue will remain open. Thank you.

2007 Haworth Roads and Field Improvement Schedule
for August-September 2007:

A. Valley Road Paving from Haworth Avenue to Massachusetts Avenue - Start 7/30. (Completed.)

B. Flashing School Traffic Signs at Valley Road and Haworth Avenue - in progress. (Completed.)

C. 2007 Road Improvements:

• Park Street (from Haworth Avenue approximately 480 feet north)
• Haworth Avenue (south side from Maple Street to Park Street)
• Spring Lane (northerly section from Valley Road to inlets)
• Pine Street (from Madison Avenue north to terminus)
• Chestnut Street (from Hardenburgh Avenue south to terminus)
• Beacon Street (from Hardenburgh Avenue to Madison Avenue)
• Lakeside East (from Haworth Avenue to St. Nicholas Avenue)

D. Widening of Valley Road in front of the school. (Completed.)

E. Haworth Public School Athletic Field improvements - 9/1/07.

Our contractors, Police Department and DPW will try to ensure there is as little inconvenience as possible.
