As many of you are aware, for the past sixteen years, the Haworth Drug Alliance has successfully sponsored four of the most important community servicing programs this town has to offer. DARE, The Senior Citizen Outreach Program, DWI Awareness Program for our High School students, and Halloween Safety Night in the Fall. If you are a parent or a senior in our town, you or your children have benefited from these programs! These programs provide valuable education to a wide spectrum of our residents and also help develop positive relationships between the police department and community. Imagine where our community would be if these programs were no longer provided! No DARE instructor to teach substance abuse education and gang violence, no Law Enforcement Officer to teach self-esteem assertiveness techniques, and no Senior Outreach Program to give that helping hand they so eagerly depend on.
